Living In Copenhagen #1

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog again. I have been lucky enough to go on exchange program with my university to study in Copenhagen for 4 months, I really hope to grow my blog and improve my photography skills during with trip. I have always been wanting to challenge myself in terms of my photography skills, obviously I wasn't able to bring all of my tools and kits with me. So I'm really trying to challenge myself to use the minimum and focus on experience and photos. I will try to bring more short blogs that will hopefully come out in a more regular schedule. I have bought with me only two cameras; my trusty a7ii and the newly acquired m6 ttl, a 50mm cron, 35mm cron and fun 28mm minolta which I fell in love a while back.

We stayed in the Copenhagen city area for a night waiting for my keys for the apartment, so of course I took the chance to first look around the city which I will be capturing for the next few months. I had heard that there will be bikes everywhere before coming, but seriously, there are really more bikes than people riding them.

Here we walked past the what used be the city hall, where to this days there would be protests and stand in front of it. Once you walked right in front of it, you will feel the size of it, it makes you realise how historical Denmark really is.

The weather in Copenhagen is really temperamental, even on the first day there was rain and sun shine appearing in and out. Like two kids playing balls, I guess its not as different as Melbourne's four seasons in a day. So here is the main the shopping street which I know we will all get accustomed to by the end of this trip, blooming with life and energy. But thank goodness I don't need to pronounce the street names in a written blog, cause I would definitely offend the danish population before the week is up. So this is the Strøget shopping street, it is where all the tourists and locals comes to shop for whatever you want. I'm really loving this place, it have so many small streets and turn that makes every time you come a whole new experience.

If you walked along the Strøget shopping street, you will eventually end at one of the most blogged and Instagram places, the famous harbour, Nyhavn. I reckon it is the most colourful I have ever seen. I think it is because of the different heights of the buildings makes this so unique and fun. It's not planned and structured, but collected over time.

Just when we were walking along the harbour, of course the rain came again.

I have a model with me again, so look forward to seeing more of her.

When the sun shines, this places lights up with life and laughter all over again. I think I could fall in love with this places, the colours that this place is filled with, the lovely people that live here.

When I saw this guy coming down the street, stopping and spinning his bike around; I just thought this couldn't have been a better moment. He literally just rode past us and did a 180, I presume was to talk to his friends, but not sure it was in danske.

Honestly, I was expecting Europe and Denmark to be already freezing cold in August, but to my surprise.....surprise cause we didn't think to check google; it was sunny and hot. After a sweaty day of walking, this ends the first day of my new adventure. I do hope you can come join me to my new adventure. Like always, please comment or share if you love it, and come back for more.
