Street Walk #4 Mini Golf and Rainy Melbourne
So this time, we go to the Maroondah Adventure Golf to have some fun with some mini golf and film. Do you guys like mini golf? I think its more fun and easy going than actual golf. The course has two grounds, indoor and outdoor; both with 18 holes to play. Each with its own unique plays, some were super easy, which you could get a hole in one easily; but some are just a frustrating mess.
Some holes even have crazy tunnels and channels that the ball can travel through, which makes it more satisfying to watch a ball go around.
I really like this shot here, where I have put her head into the frames of the windows. But I think it would have been even better if her head was completely in the frame.
Yes, I didn't finish the roll at the mini golfs, so I took it with me around Melbourne again. From Box Hill to Carnegie, and eventually finishing the roll off with something special.
So I have actually been looking out for a 35mm Cron for a while now, and just so happened to find one with a decent price. So that time when I was in the Melbourne city, I poured out my savings and got myself an pre-ASPH 35mm cron. It was a hard purchase, but I always felt uncomfortable with a 50mm cron, I just can't get close enough with my subjects.
In the rainy night of Melbourne, the casual night lit up the street like candles and flames. Even though it was cold and wet, the picture gives you a warm and welcoming feeling. Perhaps it's the reflecting lights, but something gives you a feeling of home.
I would like to call this photo 'the moment we never met', as two people passed by who are maybe destined for each other, passes each other without ever even looking. It's like the opportunities in life we passed by that we could never have. Maybe you would be better without knowing, but you can always image it.
The umbrella lady, it makes a nice silhouette of the her and her umbrella in the lights of the streets and traffic.
To end the day, we went to a Malaysian restaurant that sells special hand made milk tea. From above, I got a nice shot of her making the warm milk tea with a hint of ginger. I had another of her hands frozen in time with a faster shutter speed, but I like the blurred hands; it shows motions in her actions.
This shot was best shot out of the whole, and it was last shot of the roll. Not sure if this is considered to be an happy accident or not, but I tried to take a photo of the intersection and my friend just so happened to walked into the shot from the right. I first thought he completely ruined my shots, until I developed it and scanned it in, we were both in awe. It turned out to be a beautiful shot, the bike coming out of the shadows while the cars driving into darkness. the light and shadows just blended with each other perfectly. Have you guys had any beautiful accidents? Please link them to me or even comment below.
Once again, thank you all for coming to another one of my journeys with photography. I hope you all enjoyed it as much I do with these blogs, but please give a like or a share so I know you guys enjoy them.
