Rye - Easter Trip 2017
Went down to Rye, a town in the Southern peninsula of Victoria, also known as the Mornington Peninsula for those not in Australia. For the trip I bought with me two incredible lenses that one I got from the Box Hill Camera Market (http://www.apcsociety.com.au/market.html) and one from a close friend of mine. They are actually both Leitz Weltzlar Summicron F2 50mm, but one with the minimum close distance of 0.5 metres and one with 0.7 metres; and of course they were both used on my trusty Sony a7ii with a metabones adapter. My friend saw me getting a summicron F2 50mm, and he wanted to know what the difference was and asked me to give them a try, and who could say no to try out not one but two great lenses from the red company.
The first day I was using the Summicron with the closer minimum distance, I really didn't do the lens justice by going to the beach, at night, but I know it will definitely come back in another day. The colors that the two lens makes is quite beautiful, I know for a fact that my a7ii with the zeiss 35mm takes rather flat photos, but somehow the photos came out really cheerful and bright. I'm not sure if those are the right words, but they certainly do look different.
The next day, we took a big breakfast before heading to the Enchanted Maze Garden (http://www.enchantedmaze.com.au/). Came across this really lovely French cafe that served homemade french toasts with berry jam, man does it taste fresh and juicy. There is definitely a benefit of buying homemade jams instead of manufactured ones. Today we switch to the 0.7m focal length summicron and just have a comparison of the differences.
Here are just some of highlights from the maze garden.
I just love the bokeh coming out of these shots, everything is light and creamy except for the stuffs I want to focus on.
Thanks all for coming to another of my journeys. I accept all criticisms, so feel free to leave a comment or a like and a share if you loved it.
