Day Four - Shinjuku - Shopping town

Right off the bat, we were greeted with the cold weather and a thin veil of snow that falls upon our shoulders. It was the first time in Japan that we have seen snow.

But not long afterwards, it turned below zero and it was freezing to death.

Wondered if I could catch some snow flakes and see the details.

We just had to go to Starbucks, and get myself a warm latte to enjoy the cold in doors.

Even though it wasn't snowing like crazy, the wind and the near freezing water droplets seeping into our jackets was not the nicest thing ever.

After shopping in the BIC Camera and other department stores, I saw this shop that sells Hokkaido cheese tarts. and it was pretty amazing I have to say.

It was in the LUMINE 1 Store located next to the Shinjuku Station.

After walking hours, our hunger got to the better of us.

We had a "dry" ramen noodles that you mix around and slurp it into your tummy. I have to say it was nice.

Just right outside of the food court, we stumbled into a local fish market.

Shinjuku at night is very beautiful, everything lights up, lights that you wouldn't notice in the day time all comes to life at the sun sets.

For dinner we came to an Izakaya (居酒屋) literally a place to drink and eat for the workers. Thought we'll have a beer too and try some of there delicious food too.

We were so hungry, I forgot to take a photo when it arrive.

The day came to an end with a whooping eight thousand yen bill and but a satisfied tummy, so all and all very happy.

We had to end the day early to get ready for the hectic day that was to come going to Tsukiji jishou (築地市場) Fish Market, the largest fish market in Tokyo and the back bone of Tokyo's cuisine.
