Street Walk #4 Mini Golf and Rainy Melbourne

Image
So this time, we go to the Maroondah Adventure Golf to have some fun with some mini golf and film. Do you guys like mini golf? I think its more fun and easy going than actual golf. The course has two grounds, indoor and outdoor; both with 18 holes to play. Each with its own unique plays, some were super easy, which you could get a hole in one easily; but some are just a frustrating mess.  Some holes even have crazy tunnels and channels that the ball can travel through, which makes it more satisfying to watch a ball go around. I really like this shot here, where I have put her head into the frames of the windows. But I think it would have been even better if her head was completely in the frame. Yes, I didn't finish the roll at the mini golfs, so I took it with me around Melbourne again. From Box Hill to Carnegie, and eventually finishing the roll off with something special. So I have actually been looking out for a 35mm Cron for a while now, a...

Street Walk #3 Melbourne + JCH StreetPan 400

Image
Hey guys, this time I took out the M4-P with the 50mm cron and had a walk around the Yarra River in Melbourne. First time trying the JCH Street Pan 400, bought 5 of them directly from the japancamerahunter.com, which also comes with a free film case. Here are some of the highlights from the walk. In this one I was trying to make silhouette out of the window and the people walking under it. But I think I should have made a tighter shot with wider angle and going closer to see less of the stairs but focus on the people walking across. I quite like this shot, where he stand tall next to the pole; you can also see his shadow casting onto the pole. I think to make him mightier, should shoot lower and point it higher. In this shot I tried to get the delicate shapes of the church's silhouette in front of the sun. I really like this shot here, the repeating lines runs across the screen perpendicular to the three are walking to. I also...

Street Walk #2 Melbourne with M4-P and TriX400

Image
This time I was able to take the M4-P with a 50mm cron out to museum and around Melbourne and my first time shooting with a Kodak Tri-X 400. I am still pretty new at the black and white game, but Im really starting to love black and white film. It just simplifies everything and makes you focus on what's important. I thought the girl standing on the concrete block taking photos was kinda interesting. There was random girl standing on the opposite side of the street crossing looking off to the side, thought it was pretty perfect. I really like how with just a little of highlights enveloped by the negative space really brings the cars out.  I quite like this shot here, I saw this guy coming out of the bank. I was not expecting him to have such a classy hat, so I took a photo mid-hatting. I saw this lady sitting on the bench and there was a harsh light coming from right, it just make the shot. Couple days later, we went into the city ...
