RICE PAPER SCISSORS
Went out to see some friend in the Melbourne CBD, took a little walk along streets along the way to the restaurant.
Friends recommended this little place called RICE PAPER SCISSORS (http://www.ricepaperscissors.com.au/ ) and thought to give it a try on the weekend.
I was told it would be a nice little place for tapas style meals. Apparently we didn't need to book for the place, so when we got there we were brutally told the next table would be available in one and half hours later!! On the insistence of my friend, we went to a bar next street and waited for our table, but I have to say I am so glad we waited.
Everything was fresh and well prepared, you could definitely taste the Thai flavors until some that I have tried over the years.
This roasted pork by far the best dish out of all them, and if you are planning to go and are not afraid to eat pork; try this one out. The meat was soft and tender and the fat was like marshmallows that melts in your mouth. It could be a little too oily for some people, but if you could get over the fact or love the fact that the there is a thick layer of fat on top, it is amazing and flavorful.
There was four of us and coincidentally there was also four desserts that they serve, so we thought we might as well try all of them. They have been mixed with a little Asian flavors, such as the one below it is vanilla ice cream with a saigo pudding.
In the end we had a very nice meal with my friends and the food was amazing. Would definitely come back again despite the long waiting time.
Its been awhile since I have last updated, but it nice to write another blog again. Thanks for coming and come back for more travel and food blogs.
